To equip 600 identified villages in Madagascar with a portable and easy to use system (Watalys) to produce chlorine concentrated solution, which is used to purify polluted water into drinking water. These 600 sites, where water is heavily polluted, have been selected in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Madagascar.
Plus d'infosTo improve quality of life of at least 2,000 households in Kaproron and the neighbouring areas through upgrading rain water harvesting facilities within homes and improving catchment management practices.
Plus d'infosRaise the capacity of District Government Councils in Malawi to effectively plan, coordinate and regulate other stakeholders and execute plans to improve water point functionality and equitable distribution, as well as creating and documenting more effective models for water supply management.
Plus d'infosThe goal of the project is that “Stakeholders approaches to the provision of water wells in rural areas and small rural towns are streamlined in accordance with best international practices”.
Plus d'infosThe RWSN Forum, held in Kampala, Uganda in November 2011 will bring together 300 – 400 participants from all over the world.
Plus d'infosTo enable poor households in Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Niger and Mali to improve their own water supplies in affordable steps.
Plus d'infosThe project will enable high quality construction and maintenance of water sources in West Africa in order to increase the reliability and service life of water supply facilities. This will be achieved through practical training and certification of technicians and supervisors.
